It seems that summertime is busy with activities and parties, keeping caught up with cards for each event can be a challenge. When I make cards in advance they aren’t personalized enough. I may be hurrying and not able to devote time for an individual and creative handmade card. I have found that when I use a card that I’ve already made, it’s little things like the mood or colors of the card that just isn’t quite right.

Time Saving Ideas
By making a few specific card elements in advance it helps with the time crunch. The specific parts of the card I pre-make are; the card base, card front and a few commonly used sentiments. A card can be put together with plenty of time for the creative elements and personalization that each card deserves.
Stay Organized
To quickly find these card elements when it is time to make a new card is the trick. I have found a great product that fits this need nicely for me, it is the pizza boxes from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I like that the sentiments fit nicely inside and are easy to open and close. These little pizza boxes keep the sentiments fresh and new looking. I can pre-make them using some of my scraps or make several at the same time when I am making a card. I like to stack them as they are pretty to look at displayed on my shelf.
Also pictured are the sentiments “Giant Happy Birthday To You” and “Giant Happy Birthday” that I made from Lawn Fawn dies.
I hope you will try out this time saving suggestion and send me a comment if you find that it helps you too!
