Travel is booming after the covid infection numbers are slowing down. It was time for me to venture out into the world after staying home and being safe. During this time I discovered virtual crops via zoom or google meet. Now I wanted an adventure like many others. I chose a creative retreat as my vacation. It was in another state. So with a short flight to Denver, a scenic shuttle to the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park I started my crafting adventure.
It was not my first trip to Colorado but was my first trip there by myself. I knew one other local crafty gal who was going. I was looking forward to Els of Elizabeth Craft Designs, Annette Green a Graphic 45 Ambassador, 49th and Market and Terri Ayers of Boldy Gogh LLC travel consultant and Lolly Geter with a class on Geilli Arts.
I was thankful for all of the work that was put into making the experience wonderful. Meals were included and conveniently located in one of the many dining halls. The lodge accommodations were comfortable. Within a short stop on one of the many lodge deck seats and the views of mountains were all around. The scenery and wildlife were there if you took the time. It was breathtaking.
The projects were great, the instructors really enjoyed watching everyone put into practice what they had planned for us. They were fun to do and I was please with the results. I learned new techniques and got to play with new products. Here are a few of my favorites.
